Oleg Ptashnyk is a rational dreamer, a clothing and accessories designer, traveler, and skateboarder to begin with. Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, where his creative roots grew amid stubborn social standards, the mix of the skate scene and punk music influenced his mindset and pushed him to cultivate inventive self-awareness. That was the place where he launched Peace Date in 2009, Ukraine’s first skateboard and streetwear apparel brand.

Oleg started with just three t-shirt designs and quickly expanded to a full collection of pants, jackets, sweatshirts, hats, and bags. The designs were inspired by urban culture, people, nature, and the city itself. The goal was to achieve high quality with exclusively local production and keep the price range affordable for everyone interested. He quickly gained recognition among a new generation of designers following a wave of positive feedback. Significant support poured in, leading to numerous successful collaborations with Ukrainian artists, photographers, and musicians. Peace Date has been featured by MTV, Dazed, Buro 247, Gloss.ua, among other major media platforms.

Since 2017, Oleg has been based in New York City. He has worked as a product developer and production coordinator at Saturdays NYC and launched his bag brand, Kolii, inspired by the city's transformative energy. He has also collaborated with various fashion brands, offering design and consultation services. Currently, Oleg is a Lead Designer at Noah.
